H.A.L.I. thrives to provide education scholarship to students. ​ We work tirelessly with elected officials and community leaders so that our children receive the best education possible
HEALTH CARE
Part of the mission of the Haitian American Leadership Initiative (H.A.L.I.) includes the right of Haitian Americans and other people of color to have prime health outcomes and access to promptly, quality, and affordable health care. Evidence shows that Haitian Americans have the highest incidence, prevalence, and mortality rates from chronic diseases including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity in comparison to other minority groups. In addition, issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS have been disproportionally impacting the Haitian American community more so than any other minority groups in the United States.
H.A.L.I. is committed to eradicating racial and ethnic inequities that persist within the American health care system.
CIVIC ACTIONS
H.A.L.I. engages the community members to partake in civic actions in order to help our community to thrive.
SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPENT
The unemployment rate in our community is higher the any other communities. Therefore, efforts must be made in order to reduce the socio-economic disparities by engaging elected official to effective actions.
CULTURAL AWARENESS AND PROMOTION
Culture plays an important role in the development of a community. Therefore, H.A.L.I. has developed a program that could help in promoting the Haitian culture across the United States and around the world.
