Mr. Bency Alphonse earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York where he was also an assistant researcher at the school’s Biology Laboratory. He obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Health from Albizu University in Miami. After more than 7 years of practice as a psychotherapist, Mr. Alphonse created his Life Coaching business, Modaki Health and Wellness. Mr. Alphonse is the owner and CEO of the umbrella company Modaki Enterprises LLC.

Mr. Alphonse offers consultation and interpretation services as a Coach for employers/corporations, and as a level III medical interpreter.

Mr. Alphonse co-founded the organization INIACAP (Initiative Internationale des Anciens du Cap), an organization that has been in operation for nearly 15 years. INIACAP supports some of the most disadvantaged communities in the North of Haiti through scholarships for the education of boys and girls, as well as computer and financial literacy for their adult parents.

Mr. Alphonse also supports and works with several South Florida based non-profit organizations supporting the Haitian community including the Greater Fort-Lauderdale Sister Cities International (GFLSCI) as a member of the Cap-Haitien committee. GFLSCI, through citizen diplomacy, fosters cultural, educational, and commercial exchange between South Florida and the City of Cap-Haitien, Northern Haiti.

In the role of Executive Director for HALI, Mr. Alphonse continues a journey of leadership and service on behalf of his community and hopes to help the organization achieves his ambitious yet much needed goal of being an active voice and effective advocate for the progress of Haitian communities in the United States and around the globe.
